Welcome!

I am so excited to start our family blog. This is something I have wanted to do for a while, and after this last Tolman reunion we decided to do something like this and I volunteered. Those of us who were there at the reunion had a little meeting, and we finally got something more officially organized for a Boyer family reunion. YEA!!! We have all been talking about it for a long time, but have never done anything about it. Well, I think this will be there year. We have a commitee, which is: all of the eldest kids in each family (my dad Lucky - Jessica is the rep. ... etc.) And out of those rep's Tanya is the Chair. These representatives will let all the rest of you know, what we have decided for the reunion and talk with you about your imput. They will also be collecting money, and helping Tanya out with anything else. This is what we have so far discussed for our Boyer reunion:

• the first one will be summer 2010
• 3-4 days long from wednesday to Saturday (the reason for this, is we would like to not have it during Sunday as it is hard to do anything on Sunday...and with a year in advance we hope most of you can book off work for it. Of course let us know what you think of this)
• we want it to try to be a central location like Montanna or Idaho near a lake
• we thought that if we can find a big enough cabin (Jonathan Lee's job) that would be so fun, and we all split the cost for that
• we decided on a family fund of $25 per year per family to use for funeral's, mission's, emergency's, whatever else the commitee feels necessary.

I think that about covers it. So you can share your thoughts and idea's 2 ways. Either you can leave a comment on here our family blog, or you can tell your rep if you want it more private. I am also making a group on facebook, for all you on there.

I hope that this will help us first get organized for our reunion, but more importantly to stay close as a family. I know for myself, that my family - all of you - are one of the most important things to me and I love you all so much. I want us as a family to always be close and connected. To help each other out, to share in each others joy's and hard times. I know over the years as we have grown up, some of us have moved away and drifted away, I think this will be a good way to reconnect. Can't wait to get going on more planning, and to hear all your idea's!!!
